How will the sizing work?
As we all know (hopefully by now at least), one of the MANY issues with current chest protection for people with breasts is that basically all of them are “One size fits all.”
… Which is BS.
To combat that, the Cryptid Combat Wear chest protector has been designed to be completely adjustable (via shoulder straps and size straps) and will be available in 4 sizes.
To make sure that this protector fit as many people as possible, I did my best to combine the following size charts to make my 4 sizes:
Women’s SPES AP Light jacket measurements
Old Navy Women’s sizing
Universal Standard Size Chart
These specific measurements are the ones that I’ll deliver to the apparel manufacturer.
Those 4 sizes are:
Small
Chest: 28”-33”
Waist: 23”-25”
Medium
Chest: 34”-38”
Waist: 26”-32”
Large
Chest: 39”-45”
Waist: 32”-39”
Extra-Large
Chest: 45”-61”
Waist: 39”-54”
The one you see me wearing in all of the promotional photos is a size Large.
(For reference, here are my measurements: Weight: 165; Height: 5’7”; Chest: 38” ; Waist: 34”)
